The fundamental difference from a conventional consultancy is that we do not sell reports: we actively intervene in the operation, contributing a network of contacts, execution capacity and direct experience in each sector. The knowledge is operational, not academic.

Do you work only with companies or also with individuals?

We work with both profiles. In luxury real estate and international finance, the client may be a high-net-worth individual. In M&A, cybersecurity, digital transformation and food, the client is usually a company or a business owner in their professional capacity. In all cases, the level of demand, confidentiality and personalization of the service is the same.

What does it mean that LFGD operates in more than 15 countries?

It means we have direct experience in closed or ongoing operations in those markets: buyers and sellers contacted, properties intermediated, agreements signed and distributors activated. It is not physical presence in all of them, but an operational network: trusted local partners, knowledge of relevant legal and tax frameworks, and the ability to execute in each market without the client needing to manage that complexity.

What is the process from first contact to the start of work?

The process has four steps. First, the interested party sends an initial inquiry through the website form or by direct email. Within 24 business hours they receive a response to arrange a first diagnostic call or meeting, at no cost and without commitment. In that first meeting —usually 45 to 60 minutes— we listen to the project, ask the necessary questions to understand the context and assess whether we are the right option. If there is a fit, we prepare a specific proposal with scope, methodology, team and fees. Work only begins when the client approves the proposal and the agreement is formalized.

How long does a consulting process with LFGD take?

It depends entirely on the type of project. A corporate strategy or market entry consultancy can be resolved in four to eight weeks. An M&A process can extend between six and eighteen months. A digital transformation project for a mid-sized organization may require between three and twelve months. The initial proposal always defines a realistic timeline with clear milestones, so the client knows from day one what to expect and when.

Do you work with exclusivity or can you have conflicts of interest with other clients?

LFGD's policy is not to work simultaneously for two parties with opposing interests in the same transaction. In M&A or intermediation processes, we represent one party only. In strategic or sector consulting, we can work with several clients in the same sector as long as there is no direct conflict, and we communicate this transparently from the outset.

It is not necessary to arrive with elaborate documentation. What does help is having clarity on three points: what specific problem or objective you want to solve, in what approximate timeframe, and what budget you have for the consultancy. With that basic information, the first meeting is productive and allows for a real diagnosis. If the project is in a very early stage, that is also valid: part of our work is to help define the scope and feasibility before committing resources.

We define the success indicators in the proposal, before starting. They can be quantitative —transaction closed at a certain price, new market activated with signed distributors, cost reduction by a specific percentage— or qualitative —strategic clarity, decision made with solid information, aligned team—. In any case, the client knows from the outset how the work will be evaluated.

Is there a minimum budget to hire LFGD's services?

Yes. We work with projects that have a significant economic impact. As a general guideline, the minimum budget to start any consulting process with LFGD is €15,000, corresponding to projects with limited scope and short duration. Most of the projects we manage are in higher ranges.

Are fees fixed or variable depending on the result?

Depending on the type of project, we apply different structures. In M&A and real estate operations, the usual structure combines a monthly retainer with a success fee linked to the closing of the transaction. In strategic, sector or technology consulting, fees are usually fixed per project or per phase, with no variable component. In no case do we charge only for success in pure consulting projects: the work of analysis, diagnosis and recommendation has value regardless of the outcome of the client's decision.

What do consulting fees include?

Fees cover the dedication of the LFGD team assigned to the project: working meetings, analysis, documentation preparation, contact management and follow-up. They do not include third-party expenses that may be necessary —travel, external legal or financial due diligence, notary, registration, appraisals, sworn translations or other specialized services—. These expenses are budgeted separately and always with prior client approval.

Do you offer any kind of free initial consultation?

Yes. The first diagnostic meeting —in person or by video conference, 45 to 60 minutes— is at no cost. Its purpose is to understand the project, assess the fit and, if appropriate, prepare a proposal. It is not a consulting session: no deliverables or formal recommendations are produced in that first meeting. If the project requires a more elaborate prior feasibility analysis, that work does have a cost and is budgeted separately.

Why are LFGD's fees higher than those of other consultancies?

Because the profile of the projects we undertake is different. We work on highly complex operations, with multiple parties, in international markets, with assets of significant value. The team involved has direct experience in real operations, not just consulting. And the network of contacts we activate —qualified buyers, international investors, premium distributors, technology partners— has a value that goes beyond time dedication. If the main selection criterion is price, there are probably cheaper options. If the criterion is results, LFGD is an investment, not an expense.

How do you guarantee the confidentiality of the information I share?

All projects begin with the signing of a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before the client shares any sensitive information. Project information is handled in a compartmentalized manner: only the directly assigned team has access to it. We do not share a client's information with other clients, partners or third parties without express authorization. In M&A or real estate operations, the client's identity can remain anonymous during the initial phases of the process.

Do you publish success stories with client names?

Only with the client's express written authorization. On the LFGD website we publish success stories that have been reviewed and approved by the clients involved. In many cases, the most relevant projects cannot be made public due to confidentiality agreements, and that is something we respect scrupulously. Discretion is part of the service, not an exception.

LFGD has operational experience in the following markets: For projects in other markets, we assess feasibility based on the project and activate local partners when necessary.

Can you work with clients who are not in Spain?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly work with international clients. Meetings can be held by video conference, and travel required for the project is budgeted as a separate expense. The working language can be Spanish, English, Arabic, Russian, Armenian or German according to the client's preference.

Do you have the capacity to manage large-scale projects?

LFGD is sized for medium-to-high complexity projects. We are not a consulting firm with dozens of partners: we are a small, specialized team that works on a limited number of simultaneous projects to ensure quality and dedication. For exceptionally large projects, we can structure ad hoc teams with trusted external partners, always under LFGD's coordination and responsibility.

Do you work with startups or only with established companies?

We work primarily with established companies or those in an advanced growth phase, and with investors or entrepreneurs with defined investment projects. We are not the usual option for seed or early-stage startups, unless the project involves a specific operation —funding search, acquisition of a competitor, internationalization— that fits our work profile.

How can I know if my project fits with LFGD before contacting?

The project fits if it meets at least three of these conditions: it has a significant economic impact (transaction, investment or savings of at least six figures), it requires specialized experience in one or more of the sectors in which we operate, it has a defined timeline or real urgency, and the budget available for the consultancy is within the indicated ranges. If in doubt, the first diagnostic meeting —at no cost— is the best mechanism to evaluate it.
